Really it is going to be journey either way.
If you are coming early enough to drink, the city centre and the famous pubs (Bill Clinton did not inhale in one) are not that far from the train station and there are buses down.
There is a new mini-Westfield (Westgate) if that is your thing.
I know they control access from the station for teams like Swindon but I don't live near there now and don't know what they did for Millwall.
Not a bad time for the city centre actually, just before Freshers week and tourism dying down, at least a little bit.

Sandford has a couple of decent pubs and is a 20 minute walk
including the catherine wheel - the first pint I ever bought in my life ( a light and bitter which cost 26 p)

preseason game about five or so years back- ravel morrisons first game I think
train journey is a nightmare _ will take as long to get from the station to the ground as it will london to oxford on the train. The boozer that used to be next to the ground has now shut so its a real in and and out match
we will probably get the chance of the full side of the ground ie 5000

Ha. So apparently my secret is to be out and not pay attention to the draw and get exactly what I want from it.
Hopefully can still work it so not in the home end for this.
I think they can give us up to 5,000 but it was near empty elsewhere v. Millwall so not sure they would want to?
